Gulmarg is the crowning glory of Jammu & Kashmir and is located 2,650 meters above sea level. Known as the “Meadow of Flowers”, it boasts of the world’s highest golf-course. Gulmarg is one of the top honeymoon destinations in India. Gulmarg has also been developed as an adventure hub as the Indian Institute of Skiing, and Mountaineering is located here. A lot of courses on trekking, mountaineering, skiing, and snowboarding are offered by IISM. There are a lot of other private tour operators in Gulmarg as well, which provide similar courses and facilities for skiing and snowboarding.

Alpather Lake

The picturesque water body is 13 kms from Gulmarg, on the foothills of the Apharwat Peaks. It is embraced by rocky-mountains and endless meadows that are covered with wildflowers.

Gondola cable car was originally devised to make mountains accessible to the skiers in a comfortable way. It however, became more popular among the tourists and it is the prominent attraction of the Gulmarg .
